In November 2006, the Santee School District in east San Diego County boldly got a local school bond measure passed to modernize its aging K-8 campuses. Sprotte+Watson spent a year working closely with the District to help achieve this phenomenal goal.

In February, 2008, the Santee Unified School District’s nine schools were approved for a $129 phased construction program to be paid for with Proposition R bond dollars, state school facilities funds, joint-use funds, developer funds and other sources. Sprotte+Watson met expedited schedules for design development and documents approval by the Division of the State Architect, and continues to coordinate work between the District and the Lease-Lease-Back contractor.
